"Everyone deserves a place to belong, regardless of ability."— Sunya Sarfani, Founder
Born from
a real need
We are lucky to have a beautiful soul in our family. My brother has changed the way we see the world. Through him, we have experienced so much joy, patience, and a deeper understanding of what truly matters.
My brother has been living with seizures since he was just a few months old. Over the years, we explored different medications and therapies, always hoping to find the right balance. Along the way, he also experienced intellectual delays.
Today, he is 30. And what we continue to look for is something simple, yet so meaningful. A place where he feels a sense of belonging.
For several years, he spent much of his time at home. Not because he wanted to, but because there were limited opportunities that truly felt right for him. When he finished school, a big part of his daily routine changed. The familiar faces, the structure, the sense of community. As a family, we did our best to continue creating moments of connection and purpose.
And through this journey, we realized something. This is not just our experience. There are so many adults of all abilities who are looking for connection, meaningful experiences, and a place where they feel included.
Our Happy Space was created with that in mind. Not as a program. Not as a service. As a community. A place where adults of all abilities can come together, build friendships, feel welcomed, and have experiences to truly look forward to.
